  The first thing on Iverson Brentwood's list of things to do is to locate Phillip Crisp and throttle him within an inch of his life. "A Tale of Three Gentlemen," Crisp's poetical parody about Iverson's real parentage, is the talk of the town, and Iverson is determined to find a way to convince Crisp to retract his literary creation before it causes any further harm to Iverson's mother. Storming the poet's London town house, Iverson does find a Crisp in residence, but the only problem is that Catalina, Phillip's daughter, is not the Crisp Iverson seeks.
