Reviews

  • Booklist Reviews : Booklist Reviews 2013 June #1
Like the epic Irish legends used as inspiration, this concluding volume in the Goblin Wars series is brimming with heroism, violence, romance, and tragedy. Maneuvered into a deadly trap by enemies, Teagan, Finn, and their loyal band of misfits make a final effort to wrest control of Mag Mell from Mab and Fear Doirich. Hamilton's cast of oddball charmers are so lovable that the danger they face is truly unsettling, and the author's frequent intertwining of songs and poetry deepen the most dramatic scenes, especially a beloved character's stunning sacrificial death. This will more than satisfy series fans—it will make them laugh, fill them with wonder, and uplift them in the end. Copyright 2013 Booklist Reviews.
