Reviews

  • Booklist Reviews : Booklist Reviews 2014 May #2
Kate Darby and Nick Sheridan both believe that they have all the answers. For Kate, security lies in the job she loves and in her credo of living life focused solely on the day in front of her. Nick has recently given up his wild ways, making a pact between himself and God to stay on the straight and narrow. Life tends to interfere with plans and good intentions, however, and when Kate is literally derailed en route to care for her grandmother, she and Nick find themselves in a storm of confusion over their feelings, their faith, and their futures. Bylin tells a sweet story about the power of love. All readers will relate to the characters' struggles to balance their own dreams and ambitions with the needs of those close to them, while readers of faith will understand all too well the lessons Kate and Nick learn when they realize that the events God has set in motion are far more fulfilling than what they could have imagined for themselves.
