Reviews

  • Booklist Reviews : Booklist Reviews 2020 October #1
Paranormal investigator, Ghost Hunters regular, and current co-star of Kindred Spirits, Bruni has spent a lifetime in search of ghosts. Here she treats fans to some of her most memorable experiences and shares tips for amateur ghost-hunters. From a young age, she experienced strange happenings, including a possible Bigfoot sighting, that spurred her interest in the paranormal. For years, seeking out ghosts and otherworldly beings was her hobby—as she maintains it should be for most aspiring ghost-hunters; don't think this is your road to fame. She shares some of her early encounters, as well as retells—adding more background and details—many cases previously featured on Kindred Spirits, giving behind-the-scenes context to all the work that goes into the one-hour show. Bruni's conversational style and ghost-hunting tips that also serve as life tips (go in with an open mind, don't judge, beware of your own bias), plus the fact that she makes no attempt to win over non-believers, make this a perfect read for fans and anyone interested in the paranormal.
