Lee continues her Korean American Hana Trio series, begun with A Song of Secrets (2022), in which the opposites-attract and surprise-pregnancy tropes combine to harmonious effect. Megan Han and her sisters, Angie and Chloe, are the star string performers in their chamber music ensemble. Megan has an opportunity to play violin with a rock band in Hollywood, but her car breaks down, and she's rescued in a meet-cute moment by a handsome stranger. Their hot night results in an unexpected pregnancy, and Megan plans to raise her baby alone. A chance meeting reveals that her hot date is none other than her father's new CFO, Daniel Pak, who is ready to commit and do the right thing. Duty and honor are at stake, and they must decide if a marriage of convenience is the answer or if the chemistry still sizzling between them is a sign that they're really meant to be. Lee's characters are a bit too sweet and simple, but her descriptions of Korean American food and culture are delightful. Copyright 2022 Booklist Reviews.
